At The Secret Garden Art Studio, we believe art is about more than learning techniques and skills — it is about discovering creativity, building confidence, and enjoying the process of creating. Our studio is a welcoming space where children can explore painting, drawing, and mixed media while learning that mistakes are not failures, but part of the artistic journey. Some of the most beautiful creations come from unexpected ideas and happy accidents. We strive to inspire imagination, encourage self-expression, and help every student feel proud of their unique artistic voice. Meet the Artist

Hi, I'm Alicia

My mission is to inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and help children develop confidence through the artistic process. I believe every child is creative, and my goal is to nurture that creativity in a positive, supportive environment where young artists feel encouraged to learn, create, and grow.

Hi, I'm Alicia

Founder & Lead Art Teacher

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved spending my free time drawing, coloring, and painting. While some people seem naturally gifted, I have always believed that talent can also be developed through dedication, practice, and a genuine love for learning.

As both an artist and a mom, I created this studio to provide a warm and welcoming space where children can explore their creativity, express themselves freely, and build confidence through art.

My mission is to inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and help children develop confidence through the artistic process. I believe every child is creative, and my goal is to nurture that creativity in a positive, supportive environment where young artists feel encouraged to learn, create, and grow.

We never follow rigid templates. Children are encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and trust their own instincts. There is no "wrong" in our studio.

Finishing a piece of art and feeling proud of it does wonders for a child's self-belief. We celebrate every step of the process, not just the end result.

Art should be joyful! Our classes are relaxed, playful, and full of laughter. We believe children learn best when they're enjoying themselves completely.

Class Schedule

Find the Right Class

Small groups, big creativity. All classes include materials and run weekly during the school term.

How the week is structured

Two Complementary Curricula

Our week is split into two distinct programs. Students who come twice a week — combining a Curriculum A day with a Curriculum B day — experience a full breadth of techniques and projects each week. Students who come once a week can pick any curriculum/day.

A themed, project-based curriculum that builds across multiple sessions. Students develop and revisit their work progressively, visit to visit.

Curriculum B

A self-contained curriculum with fresh, standalone projects each week — perfect for students with flexible or busier schedules.

Studio Policies

Our Policies

We want every family to feel informed and at ease. Please read through our studio policies before enrolling.

Attendance

  • We follow the Alpine School District schedule.
  • A make-up class may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability.
  • No refunds are given for missed classes.
  • If the studio needs to cancel a class, a make-up or full credit will be offered.

Registration & Payment

  • A one-time $35 enrollment fee is required to reserve your child’s spot and prepare materials.
  • Spots are limited and reserved only after enrollment payment is received.
  • Monthly tuition is due at the beginning of each month.
  • The tuition is prorated for the first month of enrollment when applicable.
  • Overdue fees may result in the spot being released to the waitlist.

Studio Environment

  • Please dress children in clothes that can get painty — we do get creative!
  • All materials are provided. Please do not bring outside art supplies unless requested.
  • We ask parents to wait outside during class time so children can focus freely.
  • The students are required to follow the studio rules and guidelines.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Please arrive on time for both drop-off and pick-up.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is safely dropped off and picked up.

Health & Safety

  • Please keep children home if they are unwell. We follow school exclusion guidelines.
  • Inform us of any medical conditions or medications relevant to your child's safety.
  • In the event of an emergency, we will contact the primary guardian first, then the emergency contact provided at enrollment.
